About Me

Hi, my name is Peter Watson.

Let me tell you why I should be your Travel Broker (sorry about the photo – I asked the company to photo-shop it to look more like Brad Pitt but they refused).

Most importantly, experience. I have been in this industry for the best part of 25 years. Most of that time I have been in the retail side of life, beginning as a Manager for AA Travel in Upper Hutt then Lower Hutt and Wellington. I then moved on as the South Island Sales Manager with Continental Airlines and was with them for 5 years, until they pulled out of New Zealand. After that it was back to retail and for 7 years I owned and operated Lambton Quay Travel, not surprisingly on Lambton Quay. I operated my Travel Broking business in Waikanae until family reasons brought my wife and I up here to Ashhurst, in a brand new house in Millbrook Place

Most importantly – what is in it for you?

  • I am not bound by office hours. Nominally I will list my hours as 7am – 7pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 1pm on Saturdays, however, in reality, I am available to you 24 / 7.
  • I can meet you at my place, your place or anywhere in between – maybe your favourite café – and the drinks are on me.
  • A chance to change your mind. All fares on the Internet have to be paid immediately. Through our system even the cheapest fares normally give you 3 days to pay (or indeed cancel), and often up to 14 days.
  • I have travelled extensively, and not just on travel agent famils where everything is done for you. I have taken the underground into town from Heathrow – and it worked just fine.
  • I have a sense of humour.

As far as I’m concerned my job hasn’t finished until you return home and tell me how well it all went.
